Hypnosis is a completely natural state. We’re always going in and out of hypnosis—it’s triggered by our environment, maybe our social interaction, while we’re eating and watching tv, experiencing anxiety, driving a car, etc. Hypnosis is simply a state of narrow focus that bypasses the critical mind. Hypnotherapy uses this state to make you highly suggestible to positive suggestions in alignment with your conscious goals.

I went to HMI, and there we learned something called the Theory of Mind Model. It shows how our subconscious is comprised of our primitive area (the fight/flight response) and our known associations (our subconscious beliefs). The subconscious takes up 88% of our mind power. The remaining 12% is our conscious mind, which is comprised of our critical mind (a filter and protection for our known associations) and then the remainder of our conscious mind which includes logic, reasoning, decision-making, analyzing and willpower.
When you decide to change something in your life (I want to stop smoking, lose weight etc.) goes from the conscious mind all the way down to the critical area of the mind where it gets filtered, and then it checks your subconscious programming. If your subconscious mind is resistant to making the change, the critical mind will then block your thought and you will continue to have the same behavior patterns.
What hypnosis does, is it takes that same thought (I want to stop smoking, lose weight etc.) and bypasses the critical mind. It opens a door to have direct access to the subconscious. What we do in hypnotherapy then is use positive hypnotic suggestions to make the changes you want in your life.

While my Integrated Hypnotherapy Sessions are primarily focused on hypnotherapy, I include other spiritual and healing modalities to make the work more effective. Sometimes this can include mediumship, energy healing, EFT (tapping) or more. Nothing in my toolkit is off limits in these sessions!

Hypnotherapy is great for anyone seeking avocational self-development. This essentially means we can focus on anything that improves your quality of life that falls outside of the realms of an actual medical diagnosis.
Hypnosis may not be for suitable for you if you deal with certain disorders, including (but not limited to): Epilepsy, BPD, Psychosis, DID, Schizophrenia. While these are not always automatically disqualify you, I am not a licensed medical professional. Being a certified hypnotherapist does not qualify me to diagnose or treat medical ailments or illnesses under any circumstances. For this reason, you will need to get a medical referral if you have any conditions that could deem this treatment unsafe for you. While you can book with me and waive the need to get a referral, I reserve the right to cancel your session at any time if I deem it necessary to protect you and maintain your safety.

Because I am not a licensed medical professional, it is important for you to get a referral to make sure hypnotherapy won’t conflict with any medical treatments you are getting. If you are looking to use hypnotherapy to support you with any physical, emotional or mental ailments or disorders, you are required to get a referral as well because I cannot and will not directly treat anything that requires a licensed medical professionals treatment.
